I would like to know is it USM will provide USM shuttle bus aroung the town to fetch its student to the campus? Because sometimes, i saw USM bus around my area. Thanks for giving information.

Which campus are you asking about ? In main campus, USM bus does not provide the service to bring students around the town or the other way. But you can get the public bus service easily to the town at sg dua gate there.

dont worry. in usm main campus also got provide bus tat can bring d student to d places in d campus example library, hostel, school n others.

USM shuttle got bring new students from Airport to campus during 1st day orientation.

There also got bus to take students who staying at Hamnah to campus. Bus from main campus to engineering campus and vice versa also provided everyday.

Anybody staying in Desasiswa Lembaran? I would like to know about the facilities there so that I know what to expect.

well, herlene. for usm engineering campus, the two desasiswa is about the same...

the desasiswa lembaran is consist of 3 blocks which we call them block 1, 2 and 3.
block 2 is for girls only ;block 3 is for boys only; block is special...it is for boys and girls...and the middle of the block is placed a steel door that block boys and girls in block 1 to contact...

for girls dorm there will b wooden door in every exit...so dun worry when u r hanging clothes outside ur room...it won't b seen by others that are not in the desasiswa...every block has 1 or 2 washing machine that need RM3 SYILINGS to activate...

in every room (if no different from boys 1), there will b 4 places(4 beds, 4 desks, 4 desklamps that stick on the desk, 4 cupboard, 8 plug-in port,and 1 line port for internet usage to b share by 4 person), 2 fans, and 1 light...remember to bring ur own pillow, there only provide "tilam"...

if ur room number says "sh2112C"... the 1st number means the block u r going to stay; the 2nd means the which floor u r in and lastly is ur room number; the alphabet "C" means the places ur are going to sleep in the room...

thanks for your reply. Do the cupboards have locks? No wifi?  Is there any fluorescent light? I'm used to that kind of lighting.

ok...the cupboards dun have locks...and if the cupboard is locked better go to the lembaran office to tell the problem...

as far as i know...only library and mamak restaurant provide this services...i also wish that they will open up wifi when school reopened...

hmm...all the light in the room are fluorescent light include ur desk lamp...

sorry to say that, i dun have photo about it...

I was wondering....can we choose our roommates? Or will we  be sorted by the lembaran office?

well, 1st year usually need to share room with senior...maybe 3 with 1 or 2 with 2...
when u reach 2nd year...a good thing of desasiswa lembaran is that they will let u choose 1 roomate but u need to stay with another 2 junior...
if not they will just sort for u...
