Maybe the link below will help you to understand more about Food&Process Engineering:

and here is the link for pengajian makanan:

The biggest difference between this two courses are,Food&Process Engineering is an engineering course.Hence, there is more physic/engineering components in the syllabus such as thermodynamics, computer programming,Fluid and so on.
Pengajian Makanan, know as food study, will more focus on the food, example like how to increase the food quality, how to produce better food and etc.
I am a third year student of Food Study (Pengajian Makanan). So sorry I shall give more explanations here. In fact, food study is totally different from Food Science, Food engineering, and Food Tech. Those courses might be more scientific and their prospect career might be more focus on lab work, production, and QA (If I am not wrong). However, for food study, our prospect career are management department ( or other relevant department like HR, purchasing department, but seldom for Research & Development department) of food products factory, and restaurant. But, those are the majority of graduates. There are some seniors able to work as QA, QC, hospital, or even bank as well. In short, this course is more emphasizing on management in food industry, for factories, retailing shops, and restaurant.
